Wow! You've done another great job MapleRose It's
hard to find such detailed review about anime these days. What I like about this
review most, was the aesthetic evaluation of its Art. You have a very good eye
for colors and details. I am really amazed at how you dived so deep to bring out
all distinct characteristics of its Characters, Background and Animation.
Oh...about the farmers red and blue clothing. You're right! I had, as well,
noticed that Japanese farmers rarely wore colorful cloths. In the past they
mostly wore gray, blue and white if I'm correct. You expect to see these Red
& Blue colors in Mediterranean and European farmers dressing. I also guess
they wanted to make a drastic contrast between cold -mostly green and blue-
rural landscape and farmers bright clothing. Anyhow, they did look presentable and eye
catching.
What else I like about your review?
The setting description. It
was incredible I
mean it, honestly, you explained it very well. Why? Because I had watched this
anime a long time ago, and while I was reading your review all those description
fit well with I had in my mind about the overall scenario -and, well, had
forgotten during time. It's
tempted me to go back and watch it once again. And yeah, the ending song is
already humming in my head
Very fair and nice review ...
Very nice indeed. I really enjoyed reading it. Although, personally, I would
have rated this anime much higher, yet I think you described it very well;
especially the story-line and the character's description. It looked
meticulously nice too me that you maneuvered on all the key characters and
introduced them to readers. The only thing that I wanted to ask is that why
there was no mention of the second season... Strangely (while I was reading it)
I somehow became eager to know your opinion about its second season
Quote by MapleRoseFirst of all, I'm
surprised you picked this one, 'cause aren't you the shoujoboy? This
one seems rather dark.
I've seen previews and promos for this and have been curious about it (since the
few scenes I saw reminded me a tiny bit of Witch Hunter Robin), but I don't
think I'd enjoy a complicated and twisted/random plot much (even Noir confused
me >__> ) ^^;
What are the fight scenes like? Is there lots of action in this series compared
to character/plot development?
The plot is very deep and confusing at first. I watched the series twice until I
began to absorb the plot, although after episode 12 things begin to clear just a
little bit.
I am very impressed with your speculation, since Ergo Proxy carries gloominess
of "Witch Hunter Robin" a lot. Even the Melancholic notion seem to
hang in the air all through the series. There's no light in it until the very
last seconds of its ending.
I don't know about your action and fighting preferences, but I cannot call the
action scenes that harsh. They are moderate. There are blood scenes and
brutality in fights as are needed and character's personality allows it.
Nevertheless, there are also occasions where they have completely dismissed the
fight presentation and simply sticked with the outcome of fights. Hope that that
could help you.

Thanks for the review. It's detailed and over all nicely done and very
informative. I
specially liked the way you explained the Plot and Characters.
And again, sorry for the mistake. In fact I was a bit confused when I read your
Art Review and accidentaly looked at the rating above (!)

oh and I love the opening and ending songs. The opening sounds.. epic (for a
lack of better word ^^;; ) but pretty, and the ending song is calm yet almost
melancholic, like the characters stop after a fight and think about what they're
doing and stuff
They're incredible Very
soft and -I agree- melancholic indeed. I just paid attention to them today and
honestly fell in love with them. Specially the Ending. I wonder where can I find
them. I don't think there's a OST CD of this anime out yet. But
gotta find it

The background art and setting is rather pretty, and historically accurate to
give you the sense of the setting. However, in some bits, like the hallway with
the chandeliers, which detailed, I felt was too detailed for the purpose of
animation... but then again, I always feel awkward seeing a mixture of
stylistically drawn and photo-realism, or a mixture of 2D and 3D (which is what
the chandelier hall felt like to me).. I kinda wish they'd stick to one or the
other, not both.
That is also what my sister was
complaining about this morning. She said she preferred the 2-D style She's
not much fond of 3-D animes and definitely not combination of both.
I've just few episodes of Le Chevalier D'Eon and to be honest the plot did not
attract me much. The flow of story is very slow and smooth, something that's not
quite desirable for an impatient person like me! But I Totally agree with your
description of Art.
YES! The background and setting is extremely wonderful and well-done. In fact
the first thing that attracted me on its tv commercial was its incredible and
detailed landscape and settings. I also agree with the characters design. They
turned me off a bit. What I was expecting of the characters was to have some
interesting drawing on their facial expression. They somehow seem stoic and
frozen, which of course suites the gloomy atmosphere and mystical plot very
well.
As for the sound and voice acting, it's very unfortunate that I've not been able
to watch its Japanese version, which I prefer most. Using, the word Soft has attracted me though. It reminds me of
Robin's voice in Witch Hunter Robin. If
you meant that, then it perfectly matches the anime and the soft expression of
the characters.
Well...I guess that's it!
Thanks for your verydetailed and nice
review. I did enjoy reading it
Keep up the good work
You pretty much said whatever I thought of the anime I
agree with depth of this animes concept and story-line. Also with characters
design and Art. In fact before I began watching this anime, I got attracted to
it's dark, gloomy and a bit freaky design. Something chilly hangs in the air
throughout the entire series. I love that though
I have not watched "Onegai Teacher", so I cannot comment about the
anime itself or your ratings. (I leave this to others who have watched it )
But your review is very well-written and extremely detailed. I really like the
way you explained the Art section. I'm
really curious to watch it now, wether for it's plot (although it's somehow
similar to some animes that I've watched) or presentation. The music is of the
reasons too! I love theme songs!
Anyhow, Keep up the good work
And thank you for your review
Quote by ShadowDreamer16For
someone who hasn't played any of the Final Fantasy games and who just happens to
own a copy of Advent Children; I think it's pretty fantastic. I mean the
graphics are amazing. I couldn't get my cousins to watch anything Jap related
until this movie and now they won't stop bothering me to borrow it all the time.
No joke. The subbed version's pretty good too, and is it just me or are there
missing scenes in the dubbed version.
The graphis are
amazing.
Yeah! That's true when you talk about the presentation and music. After all this
is what FF movies & games have become so famous for. But if you consider the
plot and story telling, it is definitely confusing for a none-gamer.
Liking an anime depends on one's standards and critirias. I guess for your
cousines, the presentation and graphics are more important. But there are people
who will not like an anime for its' visual and sound effects. The notion and
plot line sometimes have deeper effect on viewers (the reason, that there more
popular animes than FF)
Yup I agree with you about the plot and all. Same went with me when I watched
the movie, I couldn't understand much of the story and, despite of the FF
populatiry, I couldn't appreciate it much. I also agree with you one some parts
about music and presentation, but I would rate it higher. Yet, just like you, I
didn't/never like/d this movie.
I couldn't agree with you more on Music and presentation. This anime lays among
one of my all time favorites. In fact I find the plot much different to what've
watched about vampires so far. The plot is sad though, if you look deeper into
characters' specially Saya and Dive, they suffer most and they paind others most
(Diva specially) among all characters. I could not bring myself to chose whose
fault is it? (Though I very much dispise Diva's character.)
To Reki84: About Haji's character. I agree that he's the least dynamic. But you
cannot expect him to change either. I never did. His world is frozen in time
with no future and past. He even protects Saya Solo. Haji's character comapre to
Saya's fits better as vampire! Lols* A human would turn that way after living so
long in such atmosphere.
I don't know how to put it! Solomon, Amshel and Phantom seem more lively, but
more heartless than Haji. Haji is annoyingly calm but in the other hand very
rational unlike other chevaliers.
Otherwise he wouldn't break away from Red Shield in first place back in Vietnam.
He was upset because of Saya's sudden outrage and uncontrollable attack. Would
Solomon, Amshel or any other protectors of Diva blame her or get upset for her
brutal killings?! Never! While this is very normal for Saya or Diva to kill naturally, Haji of all people did care.
Very short but conclusinve narration in storyline. I like the way you explained
it. I've got to see this anime for all the reasons that you've mentioned. Mecha
& Sci-fic + History is my taste You
seem very attentive and detailed with Sound effects and dubbing. That's very
interesting! I'm impressed.
Quote by dianaswhy did you bother to make
a review for an anime that you think that is so weak?
as a Trinity Blood fan I totaly disagree with you comments
and I see no sense in trying to convince you that TB is unique in his own
way
I close my case..
A review contains one's point of view about a particular subject. The subject
can be either praised or criticized. I don't agree with your comment about this
review too! People's ideas are very much respected no matter how they contradict
our own ideas.

well, I admit nothing is truly original. It's all in the details. I believe they
could have done better, since the seiyuu and production staff were very
talented.
I agree with you. I liked TB for that. The character's and their voices areinteresting. Trinity Blood is entertaining
and nice on it's own way. Weakness is always mingled with every production. It
depends on it's level.
Quote by shoujoboyWhen an anime graces
the channel known as Cartoon Network, I almost find myself jaded by it
regardless of it's merits. Ultimately, I hate that a show that isn't all that
good can get such a blind dedication of out people. Trigun, Dragonball Z and
even Cowboy Bebop weren't all that good in my humble opinion. But if I were to
ever mention my dislike for these particular shows, I would be met with the most
hateful and ignorant insults imaginable. Problem was any show that crossed that
network ended up having a violent cult following around it. Because of this I
would find myself either dodging the show entirely or going into it with a bit
more of a closed mind than I usually do.
There are many people who think like you! I, for startes, am one of those! As
for Cowboy Bebop, I haven't watched it at all. Only the movie which didn't drew
me much. About Fullmetal Alchemist and your review, your discription and
explanation is good and realistic about its' differest aspects. And that's what
I like about your reviewe.
What I like about Fullmatal Achelmist is its' quiet new plot. It's sort of
unique and that's what I think has attracted many fans. The Art of alchemy,
surely, has been presented in animes in the past but not as attractive as
Fullmetal Alchemist. Considering today's action-favored animes it's brand new
way of presentation.
Thanks for your review.
Keep up the good work...

Excellent! I like the way you explained the storyline. It was very clear and

Hmm...I like the way you described it!
You're description is very open to both weakness and strenghts of this anime.
You mentioned about characters and that is very good but I wasn't quiet able to
understand much about the synopsis and story. (Since I haven't watched this
anime).
Thank you for review...
I cannot wait to see this anime. I've been searching for it for quite sometime
but apparently they still don't have the whole-series DVD, here in the
Philippines. Saber infact has been the main character and reason that draw me
in. About the story-line and the whole "Holy Grail" thingy, I'm eager
to know more details about it, although I don't expect much deep concept. But
the idea of masters and servants is interesting...
ThanX again
Ergo Proxy is definitely one of the very best animes I ever wathched. It's in
list of my all-time favorties. It's uniuqe and elegant in my opinion. I love the
misty and dark atmosphere of the scenes. Yes and it is a beautifully worked animes that pictures drakness within
light, I agree.
The OST also is one of my favorite and truely matched with feelings and thoughts
that flew within the events. Whenever I heard the song I felt like I'm hearing
Vincent's pleads! It pleased me that how they reflect the main character's
feelings even in the OST.
You're review is very detailed and good. Good Job & Thank you
I haven't watched "Get Backers" but I agree with you about the Art
used in this anime. I already saw the character's design on scans and wallpapers
and they really look cool. I don't know about the details of the story but from what I've read so far,
it's pretty much the same old story that has been repeated in this anime too.
Someone with dark mysterious past! But I guess I will try to watch if I have the
chance, specially the OST that you mentioned. I really like to hear it.
Thanks for your review.
I haven't watched this anime but the story reminds me of my childhood fantasy
and favorite stories. I still like this kind of stories and I'm pretty much
eager to see the Art in this story. It must be very well done in the case you
described. I love it when an artist, specially an anime artist, has a lot
information and experience in filed of their work. I really enjoy the delicacy
when a dancer dance properly as someone does in real world or the way a painter
holds his brush properly in his hands.
Thanks for your review!
I've watched this movie and agree with what you described about the Scenes and
Sounds. Actually I really don't like Sophie's voice, I think it's a bit old for
the age of the character. Well, it did match with old form of Sophie but not
with her young form. Lols* However, I haven't watched the English dub but I'm
kind of curious to know how is it. I remember "Laputa: The Castle In The
Sky" was the same. The English dub was very well done and suitable for
characters.
I haven't watched this anime, but bravo! You did a great job in describing it.
If there could be Fave for reviews yours would be definitely in my list! The
story and characters describtion is excellent and detailed. Well done and thanks
for your wonderful review.
The Story seems somehow interesting and you also seem very impressed by it!
However, let's not forget as much as an anime might affect us, it also has it's
weak points which you hardly point at it.
Nevertheless, that's your point of view
and rating so keep up with it.
I haven't watched this anime yet, but your review is excellent. I sort'a got
curious to watch it. It must have a very unique plot as you described. ThanX
Jeez I was adviced to buy the DVD just before Christmas and I thought it would
be useless! I think now I have to go back and buy it coz from what I read it
must be really interesting story. The Artist works on MT is also another reason
that I'm eager to watch this anime. The character's are a bit differently
designed compared to common animes. Very interesiting indeed! Thanks for the
review, I guess I won't be much confused with your directions! lols*
